Mongolia celebrates Year of the Huns in 2011
According to the agency "MONTSAME" in 2011, Mongolia will celebrate 2200 anniversary of the founding of the empire of the Huns. National Committee for organizing this historic event led by the Minister of Education of Mongolia, Mr. Otgonbayar.
The celebration of this date, clearly show both the nomadic Mongols established their first state, as it led equitable cultural relations with neighboring civilizations, will strengthen the Mongols pride in their homeland and will make a significant contribution to the education of patriotism, according to the government.
According to current research, the Hun Empire was a multinational state, so this date is celebrated in conjunction with the countries of Asia and Europe. This will give us an excellent opportunity to promote the history and culture of the nomads. Researchers have shown that the great Mongolian state of the XIII century has inherited all the elements of the state structure of the empire of the Huns.
The Huns ruled vast territories, but the cradle of their nation and the most populated places in the territory of modern Mongolia.
